The Word of the Day is done in all 4th-grade classrooms. Its purpose is to expand vocabulary and apply knowledge of reference resources. This "W.O.D. Sheet" is used each morning during bell work (8:25 AM - 8:40 AM). Students that do not complete the W.O.D. before Encore begins (8:40 AM) are expected to complete it for homework. Students may use an online dictionary/thesaurus to complete this activity. This sheet is due each Friday. Each component is worth 5 points.
